ASSOCIATED EVENTS AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM
In conjunction with the Perth Poetry Festival, the exhibition will feature an afternoon of atomic-themed poetry. We are seeking submissions from local poets. Six poems will be selected for a gallery-based reading with the selected poets paid a reading fee. Find out more and enter your submission here.
ARTIST TALK AND ATOMIC CONCERT
On Saturday 20 September photographer Brett Leigh Dicks will give a floor talk about the exhibition which will be followed by invited musical guests performing a short selection of atomic themed songs. Performers will be confirmed shortly, but the songs will include the likes of Paul Kelly’s “Maralinga,” Randy Newman’s “Political Science,” The Louvin Brothers’ “The Great Atomic Power,” U2’s “Seconds,” Bob Dylan’s “Let Me Die in My Footsteps,” and Calexico’s “Sonic Wind.”

ATOMIC PANEL DISCUSSION AND POETRY READINGS
On Sunday 28 September, NUCLEAR LANDSCAPES will host a reading of atomic-themed poetry from selected poets who contributed ekphrastic poems as part of the Perth Poetry Festival call out.
